Raisin’ a Healthier You!

It’s been two years since I started my fitness journey and committed to healthier food choices, and I must say it hasn’t been very easy! Having an ectomorph body type can be very deceiving, I lived on junk food and extra rice for most of my life thinking it would help me gain weight. Boy was I wrong, and it took a toll on my body. I had high cholesterol even with this skinny body. It’s also genetic so double whammy, right? Since I became a mom I promised myself to be more health-conscious. I wanted to live long and be strong for my family!

I started working out July 2018, and also committed to eating right. Since then, I’ve been on the lookout for nutritious snacks I can munch on anytime without the guilt, coz I have to admit… I’m a serial snacker and still have a hard time saying no to junk food!🙈

So far I’m loving Sultana Biscuits – it’s a yummy biscuit snack filled with real raisins, and are loaded with iron, potassium, and antioxidants! It’s been a treat not just for me but for the kids as well. Lauren asks for these biscuits and she loves the raisins! As for me, I love to put toppings on my crackers. My current fave is our homemade tuna spread, added some avocado slices and voila! I have a healthy, filling snack paired with coffee. YUM!

I’m so happy I discovered this healthy snack! You can find Sultana Biscuits in supermarket outlets: City Super Trinoma, Makati Supermart, Pioneer Supermarket, Cash & Carry, SM Hypermarket, Cherry Foodarama, SM Supervalue, Shopwise, Rustans, Hi-top, Ever Supermarket, Landmark, Unimart and South Supermarket!

My Experience on the Mr. Butler Home Cleaning Service

The past two months have been a whirlwind of adulting and major life transitions. If you follow me on Instagram you’d see my #lipatbahayseries with our never ending sorting, organizing and cleaning. We’ve lived in a condo ever since we got married, so this bigger and more spacious home entailed a lot of adjustments for us! Our helper/nanny for the past 6 years also retired and left a few days before we moved in.  So can you just imagine all the house work we have to take care of aside from the kids?😅

Nowadays, it’s a good thing we can outsource services that can help make our lives easier. #Nohelpernoproblem as they say. Thankful that there are companies such as Mr. Butler who can provide a variety of services such as deep cleaning for your home, errands, laundry, landscaping, welding, plumbing, etc etc! Looking at their IG and FB profile gave me a sigh of relief. Like, I know who to call for this and that! They’re like a one stop solution for all things home!

Li’l Twinkies : Quality Baby Products that Help Make Parenting Fun

Most of my daily dilemma as a stay-at-home mom revolves around feeding my two kids. One is a slow, picky-eater while the other has a knack for throwing food or utensils as part of her meal time. It can get pretty messy and noisy in the household!

I’ve always been on the lookout for quality baby products that does their job well and are reasonably priced. I don’t just go buy a brand coz it’s popular, I usually check product reviews or ask my mommy friends before I go for the purchase. When I learned about Li’l Twinkies from a fellow mom, I told her I have to try and use it for my kids first before I can recommend it and share to other mommies.

Brie and I recently went on a day tour to Pinkie’s Farm, a single origin dairy farm in Lipa, Batangas. It’s actually the first time I’ve heard of such a place, we got lucky that it was part of her school’s field trip!

10 Must Have Products for the New Mom

If you are a new mom and you’re wondering, “What ELSE do I need for the baby?” I’m sure you probably have the necessities to start caring for your newborn. How about asking yourself this:

What products can make my life easier as a new mom?

Doesn’t that sound better? Haha! I wonder why I never thought about this with my first baby? I was completely clueless and relied mostly on gifts and just the basics. On my second pregnancy last 2017, I was more aware of what worked and what didn’t in raising my first born. Plus, I was exposed to a lot of mommy groups and events that opened my eyes to so many products that made mom life easier. This time around, I have an army of new products that I have proven to be worth every single peso. Ugh, I wish I had these 6 years ago! Continue reading “10 Must Have Products for the New Mom”

My Breastfeeding Journey

When I gave birth to our second baby – Lauren, I was extra confident that I’ll be nailing the breastfeeding game this time. I mean, coming from that “initiation” we experienced with our eldest daughter, Brianna, I thought things will be a lot easier the second time around. I thought I would have more milk too! Turned out, I was right AND wrong!

How I pulled off a DIY Unicorn Birthday Party Without an Event Stylist

For those who know me, I am one practical and most of the time – frugal momma. When it comes to planning for my kid’s birthdays, I know I don’t need to hire an event stylist or planner when I know I can do those things on my own! For one, those services are way too expensive nowadays! I can buy so many things with the amount they are charging just for styling. And since there are so many resources we can get ideas from, I guess the only question would be “Do I have the time to DIY?” 😁 Continue reading “How I pulled off a DIY Unicorn Birthday Party Without an Event Stylist”
