It’s been two years since I started my fitness journey and committed to healthier food choices, and I must say it hasn’t been very easy! Having an ectomorph body type can be very deceiving, I lived on junk food and extra rice for most of my life thinking it would help me gain weight. Boy was I wrong, and it took a toll on my body. I had high cholesterol even with this skinny body. It’s also genetic so double whammy, right? Since I became a mom I promised myself to be more health-conscious. I wanted to live long and be strong for my family!
I started working out July 2018, and also committed to eating right. Since then, I’ve been on the lookout for nutritious snacks I can munch on anytime without the guilt, coz I have to admit… I’m a serial snacker and still have a hard time saying no to junk food!🙈
So far I’m loving Sultana Biscuits – it’s a yummy biscuit snack filled with real raisins, and are loaded with iron, potassium, and antioxidants! It’s been a treat not just for me but for the kids as well. Lauren asks for these biscuits and she loves the raisins! As for me, I love to put toppings on my crackers. My current fave is our homemade tuna spread, added some avocado slices and voila! I have a healthy, filling snack paired with coffee. YUM!
