I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since my last facial! During my single years, I made it a point to visit a skin care clinic at least once every 2-3 months. When motherhood happened, I just didn’t have time for hour-long sessions and preferred getting products that can do the job at home. So when I got invited by Bench Skin Expert to try out their services, I was ecstatic! I’ve heard great reviews about their facials! So I went there last weekend and was pampered with a super relaxing INtensiv Hydrating Facial – a luxurious treatment chosen for me by Dr Cha Zosa, one of the skin experts. ♥️
I requested for a facial that had mostly natural and botanical ingredients, coz my skin is used to that for years. No chemicals for this momma! Dr Cha assessed my skin and gave me just what I needed.😌
After cleansing, my face was wiped with soothing toning lotion before the Bionic Tonic solution was applied through soaked gauze strips to prep skin prior to extraction. I was left to relax and enjoy the minty feel for 10 minutes. I love that it was infused with botanical ingredients and fruit acids. This is their alternative to the use of steam because it can also help open the pores and is ideal for people with melasma/rosacea who are contraindicated to steam.
Once done, the gauze was removed and the extraction process begun. I was a bit nervous because of my low pain threshold. Good thing my aesthetician, Kim, was very gentle. She also complimented my skin for having a few blackheads which made the pricking super quick. It pays to take care of your skin talaga! She was able to clean the gunk from my nose and some from my forehead and that was it. Whew!
After extraction, my face, neck and chest was massaged with a PHA cream. My eyes were treated with an Eye Rejuvenating Cream which was said to help with dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles. I love anything anti-aging!
Just when I thought the treatment was done, Purifying Clay Mask was brushed on my face and again I got another 10 minutes of bliss! The clay mask helps tighten and firm the skin with whitening properties. I love the cold, minty feel especially after the pricking, and the eucalyptus scent was so relaxing!
The last step after removing the mask was the application of the Evening Restorative Cream, it has AHA and fruit acids that stimulates mild skin exfoliation and moisturization. Then I was given a head and neck massage! Ahh I was wishing it will never end! Super sarap talaga and it really is a great experience to have yourself pampered in a skin care clinic like Bench Skin Expert. Just don’t bring the kids so no one will disturb your peace! 😂
